“If we can heal relationships, we can also create relationships that can heal.”

- Dr. Sue Johnson, founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

“In my early professional years I was asking the question, ‘How can I treat, or cure, or change this person?’

Now I would phrase the question in this way: ‘How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?’”

- Carl R. Rogers, The Facilitation of Personal Growth, Page 32

Hi, I’m Edna! If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking a text, questioning where you stand in a relationship, or wondering “why do I keep ending up here?”—you’re in the right place. I work with people who want to better understand their relationship patterns and start building more secure, fulfilling connections. A lot of my clients are navigating relationship anxiety, breakups, or communication struggles. Some feel stuck in cycles they can’t quite explain, while others want connection but feel held back by fear, past experiences, or just not knowing where to start.

My approach is warm, relational, and rooted in attachment, helping you understand how your past (including childhood experiences or first-generation family dynamics) shows up in your present relationships. We start connecting those dots so you can move differently and feel empowered in the choices you make. I draw from attachment-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, and trauma-informed care to help you understand your patterns, work through difficult emotions, and build more secure connections. And yes, there's always room for some humor along the way, because healing doesn't have to feel heavy every single minute.

Sessions with me offer a safe and non-judgmental space to unpack how you show up in relationships, how your childhood has shaped the person you are today, and understand your emotions so you can feel confident showing up as yourself. You have a chance to slow down and reflect on your thoughts and feelings without feeling rushed or pressured. You don’t need the “perfect” reason to start; I’ll meet you wherever you are, and we’ll take it from there.

  • I specialize in helping individuals navigate relational patterns, understand their attachment style, navigate relationship anxiety, heal from breakups, and build more secure, fulfilling connections with others.

  • I really enjoy working with men who are ready to explore their emotional world in a way that feels real and not forced. We focus on building emotional awareness, strengthening communication, and helping you feel more confident showing up in your relationships without it feeling awkward or unnatural.

    *What are neurotypes?

Neurotypes are distinct differences in the way people process information (thoughts, emotions, sensory stimuli, and more). Examples of different neurotypes include ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, etc.

  • I help adults make sense of how early experiences shaped the way they show up today,  in relationships, in patterns of thinking, and in their sense of self. As a first-generation American, I also understand firsthand how cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the pressure to "just push through" can leave little room to process pain. Whether your wounds are big or quiet, we work through them together at a pace that feels safe for you.

  • Overthinking, second-guessing, and bracing for what might go wrong. I work with  navigating anxiety, whether it shows up in relationships, at work, or during major life transitions like starting over, figuring out who you are, or finding your footing after everything changes. Together we'll slow it down, understand what's driving it, and build tools that actually work in real life.

  • If you’re part of a blended family, I have personal experience in knowing how complex that can be too. Navigating co-parenting, step-family dynamics, loyalty conflicts, and identity can feel overwhelming, and I’m here to help you sort through that in a way that feels less daunting.
